In December 2023, we went to Chongqing to attend the FTC regionals. At that time, there were many new team members; for most of them, it was their first taste of a FIRST competition. So, it was no surprise that we didn’t have the perfect division to work, and in the round, only 2-3 players were making progress.

I remember we do not deal with suspension systems, but our team’s manual phase has always been our strong point. In the competition, most of the games we won were caused by our good play in the manual phase. The problem with the suspension system was the most critical issue impacting our performance. Unfortunately, until the past-season game in Shanghai, we still could not solve it.

Moreover, in Chongqing, because of the complexity of our robot structure, if any incidents caused us to repair the machine, it was hard to fix it. Fortunately, although we had a lot of issues with the automatic program in Chongqing, we are making significant progress.
